One of Gorrin's most useful possessions is his magical backpack. It was presented to him after he saved the Faerie Queen from his old enemy Horrin and in gratitude, she gave him the pack.

The backpack is essentially magical, but there are very real laws operating that govern the way it is used. The magic manipulates space and time as demonstrated over time and time again by Gorrin's use of his magical backpack. Various objects are repeatedly stored within the pack and this is achieved by folding space and time within it. Objects stored within the pack are all present at the same time, but they exist in different realities. Essentially they co-exist but out of phase with each other. Gorrin taps into the reality by calling for the object stored using the runic language sung. The sounds are actually sound keys which release the object from the dimension it occupies.
